Services
The goal of Health Services program is to provide health and emergency services to clients in order to help them navigate the complex United States healthcare systems and make informed decisions concerning their health needs. Program services are made possible through funding from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs, USDHHS-ORR, ECDC, and Office of Minority Health.
Women's
Health Initiative Program (WHIP): 
o The goal of WHIP is to train and empower refugee, immigrant and low-income
women living in Southwest Houston to become community advocates for women's
health issues and involve them in all aspects of community mobilization and
Community Organizing.
o Funded directly by ORR, the Women's Health Initiative Program (WHIP) is
the newest addition to our Health Department.
HIV Outreach and Education for African Immigrants:
o The mission of this program is to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS among African
refugees and immigrants in Southwest Houston.
o Through outreach, we teach African men, women, and youth to take measures
to reduce the chances of contracting or spreading HIV
Housing
Opportunity for People with AIDS (HOPWA):
The Mission of Alliance's HOPWA Program is to improve the wellbeing, productivity
and quality of life of individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families
through the provision of housing and case management services.
Services include short-term rental assistance and case management as needed for eligible HIV positive individuals.
